Gillian Tabor
Equine Physio
Gillian Tabor is a Chartered Physiotherapist who has been working as an ACPAT Veterinary
Physiotherapist for over 20 years, in her own practice in Devon. She specialises in physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation of competition horses.
Gillian is also the programme manager and lectures on the MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy course at
Hartpury University.

Toby Thurgood DipWcf is a very well renowned farrier covering the South West. Toby has been shoeing our horses feet for a number of years. His patience and skill with the horses is exemplary with the horses best interest at the forefront of everything he does. Where necessary Toby works very closely with our vets and physio to provide the best plan for the horses.

Western counties is a purpose built equine hospital - opened in November 2002. Nestled on the edge of the Blackdown Hills in a peaceful, tranquil environment yet is easily accessible. Servicing the counties of Devon and Somerset, it is a facility second to none in the Westcountry and since opening we have invested in a continued program of development and improvement. culminating with the award of RCVS Equine Hospital status, the highest level of accreditation available, reflecting the high level of veterinary expertise, nursing care and facilities available.

Sally Walker

Sally is an integral part of the team, regularly helping around the yard or accompanying Sophie on the young horses. Also regularly found being chief groom at the shows, providing the most extravagant of picnics for competitions as well as making sure there’s always cake for guests on the yard.
Also there for moral support or medical care when things don’t go to plan!
