ABOUT ME 

My name is Sophie walker. I am an international event rider based in Manaton, Dartmoor.

I have evented up to FEI 2* on several horses whom I have had the pleasure of self producing from scratch. My love for competition has always been a huge part of my riding life but this is a bio product of my huge love for bringing on and training horses, which is a process I thoroughly enjoy. Providing horses with the finest foundational training and support is, to me, the ultimate means of enabling them to thrive and realize their full potential. 

Sophie is an incredible riding instructor and it’s clear she really knows her stuff. My two daughters have improved beyond recognition since she has been teaching them – she really understands how to encourage and get them through challenging moments (and also knows how to handle their sometimes challenging ponies!). The girls look forward to their lessons and learn something new every session. Sophie is calm, constructive and always fun, I’d happily recommend her to anyone.
